Alumni Club events
Denver
More than 70 UD alumni and friends gathered Dec. 7 at the ESPN Zone in Downtown Denver for a Saturday afternoon lunch. Many guests dined on authentic Philly Cheesesteaks--Denver style. The event was hosted by Joanne Massa Nawrocki '71. Alumni had a terrific time learning the latest news from campus and connecting with other Blue Hens in Colorado.
New York City
On Dec. 11, more than 75 UD alumni gathered at the Jade Lounge in midtown to meet up with college friends and visit other UD graduates who live and work in the city. Erik Sulzbach '96, New York City Alumni Club President, hosted the annual networking event.
New Castle County, Del.
On Dec. 8, the New Castle County Alumni Club held a reception following the stage performance of "Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great," one of UD's Family Performing Arts Series events. More than 200 people watched the musical, based on the book by Judy Blume and attended the reception afterwards.
Phoenix
The Wrigley Mansion Club was the site of a holiday brunch Dec. 8 hosted by the Phoenix Alumni Club. Nearly 40 UD alumni from the class of 1938 to 2002 enjoyed a spectacular brunch with a beautiful view overlooking the Valley of the Sun.
Richmond
More than 50 alumni, family and friends gathered for UD reception in Richmond, Va., Feb. 14, prior to a UD vs. Virginia Commonwealth University basketball game. Despite the 66-71 loss, the Blue Hen crowd provided a lot of support.
Atlanta
On Dec. 5, 40 Atlanta UD alumni gathered at Anthony's Restaurant in Buckhead to reconnect and reminisce. Atlanta Club President Julie Harder Schnelle, '86, hosted the event.
Boston
Cottonwood Café was the scene of a Boston Alumni Club gathering on Nov. 14. More than 70 alumni from the area attended the event hosted by Phil Bean '94.

Hens face Hawks
More than 100 UD New Castle County alumni attended the ice hockey night at the Fred Rust Ice Arena, Jan. 17. Jeff Miller, CHEP '88M, played the bagpipes as the Blue Hens took the ice against Lehigh University's Mountain Hawks. Charlotte Waterbury Brown, CHEP '81, of West Chester, Pa., with her husband, Bob, and son, Bobby, took part in the ceremonial dropping of the puck to start the game. UD's Joe Bartlett, a senior from Pittsburgh, Pa., faced off Lehigh University's Tom Gianos, as YoUDee cheered on the home team. Delaware won the game 6-1.
