The Class of 1951 entered the post-war University of Delaware at a time of significant expansion and growth. Today these newest members of the Gold Guard, University graduates with 50 years or more of alumni status, are our heritage. We turn to them for their knowledge of our past and we thank them for their role in helping establish the University as one of the top public academic institutions in the country.
In honor of their 50th Reunion, the Class joined together to support colleges, departments, academic programs and student activities. These 152 members of the Class of 1951 contributed over $550,000. For the gifts made in the spirit of philanthropy that has been so clearly demonstrated, the University is deeply appreciative for the ongoing support of the Class of 1951.
