'Suddenly'

A sculptural installation by Jennifer Schmidt, AS '97, artist in residence, will be on exhibit at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts through Oct. 20. Titled Suddenly, the exhibit is described by the artist as "a burst of unexpected recognition" and a brainstorm of forms "not unlike kernels of corn that have burst in the dry heat of summer." Schmidt, who holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, has been a visiting faculty member in printmaking at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
