Decades of Support

Anthony (Tony) T. Glenn, HNS '78, '80/M, has been named executive director of DFRC, formerly the Delaware Foundation for Retarded Children. A Newark, Del., resident and long-time teacher and athletic director at St. Mark's High School, Glenn has been a volunteer for the DFRC for more than 29 years, serving 10 years on the board of trustees. Glenn's involvement with DFRC began when he was a player in the annual Blue-Gold All Star football game in 1973. This year's game, which was held June 29 in Delaware Stadium, attracted 12,132 spectators to the annual fund-raising event. The organization promotes understanding and awareness of mental retardation and supports programs to encourage persons with mental retardation to participate in the community.
