Matthew Minker, EG '68, BE 2002M, majority owner of the Wilmington, Del., Blue Rocks, still attends every home game of the successful Advanced A team for which he was the first investor 10 years ago. Minker, who began work on his master of business administration degree shortly after graduating in 1968 but never completed the thesis that then was required, says that unfinished business "always felt like a void in my life." The owner of a construction company, Minker contacted the College of Business and Economics a couple of years ago and completed his MBA in 2002. He's a big fan of UD, selecting blue and gold as the Blue Rocks' team colors and displaying a replica of his Blue Hens baseball jersey (No. 21) on the wall of his office at the stadium.
