When the Class of 1950 entered the University of Delaware at the end of World War II, the campus was just embarking on what would become a half-century of tremendous growth and development. Today's newest Gold Guard members, University graduates with 50 years or more of alumni status, have witnessed changes of every kind at the University and beyond.
In honor of their 50th Reunion, the Class joined together to invest in the colleges, departments, programs and activities that they have watched grow and develop with gifts totaling more than $200,000. The University is equally grateful to the Class for undertaking this effort and revitalizing reunion giving, challenging future classes to match their generosity, and offering unparalleled support at the same time.
