He has helped to lead companies in electronics, aerospace, defense, and medical device fields to ISO registration.

Ed is the past Chair of Delmarva Section of ASQ, and vice chair of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Division.  He was the U.S.A. voting member on ISO TC for injectable drug packaging.  Currently, he serves as a voting member of the NCCLS Committee on quality improvement in the hospital laboratory.

In 1997, Ed was named ASQ fellow, sponsored by the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Division  “…for superior leadership in the quality profession as evidenced by the development and application of innovative auditing and statistical techniques; for effectively communicating quality concepts in local, regional, national, and international forums; for significant contributions to ASQ, the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Division, and sections,”
