The UD Mass Spectrometry Facility is an in-house analysis lab for University
research and development. A large number of instruments are housed in the
new Lammot duPont Lab. The facility contains 5 double-sectors, 2 quadrupoles,
2 ion cyclotrons, and some time-of-flight mass spectrometers. A professional
Mass Spectrometrist is on hand to analyze samples; a self-help GC/MSD is
available as well.
Many techniques can be utilised in the Mass Spec Facility. Everything
from ordinary electron impact ionization to state of the art electrospray,
complete with experts to operate them. Our professional staff are able
to help decide which technique is needed.
