INSTRUCTIONS for FORUM PRESENTATIONS

  1. If you have never joined us before, try checking your connection in advance by logging in from our homepage. See the Chat Login link under Quick Picks.
  2. Please try to be on time for the session (remember to convert from Eastern to your local time). Plan to login a few moments early, to allow time for software to load. If you enter after the session has begun, please enter quietly.
  3. Once you have successfully loaded the chat software, you will be in the Forum room where the session will be held.
  4. The Moderator will provide further instructions at the beginning of the session and at the beginning of Q&A.
  5. The session is structured with an introduction, presentation, and audience Q&A. Please hold your questions or comments until the Moderator begins the Q&A portion of the program.
  6. When invited by the Moderator, indicate you wish to submit a question/comment by sending a "?" into the Chat. (It is not necessary to enter your name.) Then compose your question, but wait until your are recognized by the Moderator to hit the Send button or Enter key. Questions or comments will be taken in the order that the "?s" appear in the Chat screen.

ROBERT L. MARTIN

Robert L. Martin, MPC, is Director of Partnership Development and Communications for the ComCARE Alliance in Washington, DC. He oversees the involvement of local, state and federal emergency response agencies in the development of ComCARE's Emergency Provider Access Directory (EPAD) and as a liaison between project-specific stakeholder leaders, staff, and national member organizations.

He has 15 years experience in public safety and emergency services through his former role as Executive Director of the National Academies of Emergency Dispatch (NAED), a leading certification and standard-setting organization, and as program manager for the annual Navigator and EuroNavigator emergency dispatch management conferences. He has also served as a consultant, writer, editor, publisher, and in numerous leadership positions with non-profit, community, and professional associations. He holds a bachelors degree in business marketing and a masters degree in professional communication
