Dear Students, Thanks for a great semester. I hope you learned a lot about our topic and about computers, programming, and computing science. I am starting to get notes from students asking questions about their semester grade. Before you write to ask how I arrived at your grade, please read the following: 1) Do not beg for a higher grade. Do not ask me to move the grade cutoffs. Do not ask for an extra credit project to bring up your grade. 2) It is possible that there are mistakes in the data I used to compute your grade, or even in the calculation itself (shown later). If you CHECK SAKAI and find a mistake in the records, FIRST perform the grade calculation yourself (see syllabus) and see if the correction will make a difference in your grade. If it will not make a difference, there isn't much point in sending it to me. Please do not ask me to look up your data on Sakai. If you think a project or lab grade is missing, please write an email to both your TA and to me and we will look into it. Please note whether you have a graded paper copy. If you think I have made a calculation error, please send YOUR version of the calculation using the numbers from Sakai. Have a great break!
