This is the textbook we will start with, for learning how to make web pages with HTML and CSS. However the main textbook for learning programming is the JavaScript textbook, which is the next one on tne list.

This new edition JUST came out, and is MUCH better than the 5th edition—in particular, it is updated for Firefox, and AJAX applications such as Google Maps. The introduction of core topics such as "loops" is much clearer than in previous editions.
