Identity, Pop Culture, and Politics
featuring Joe Hernandez-Kolski

Drawing from his personal experiences growing up Latino and Polish, two-time HBO Def Poet Joe Hernandez-Kolski uses spoken word poetry and comedy to explore the changing face of America.

Courting Diversity: Media, Latinos, and the Law

with Judge Marilyn Milian

Free and open to the public

With over 19 years of legal experience, Judge Marilyn Milian is the first female to preside over televisions most popular court show, The People’s Court. Milian graduated summa cum laude from the University of Miami and earned her law degree from Georgetown Law School at the age of 23.

Food has historically been the bridge to connect people from various backgrounds. This festival boasts traditional dishes from several countries. Come out and indulge in a world of flavorful dishes.

Join the members of Chi Upsilon Sigma Sorority for a traditional Guallando experience, complete with live performances and vendors.

Multi-Ethnic Career Development Conference

This conference provides University of Delaware undergraduates from underrepresented and multi-ethnic groups from across all majors an excellent opportunity to hear from dynamic speakers, meet alumni, network with employers, enjoy a fabulous lunch, and find internships as well as full-time and part-time jobs.  To register, visit the Career Services Center at

LHM Community Service Project
La Raza’s Holiday Book Drive and Fundraiser

Books should be in good to lightly used condition. All genre accepted for ages 6 -18. Collected books will be donated to the Latin American Community Center (LACC) in time for the Christmas holiday. Donation boxes will be at all LHM events denoted with **.
Several UD organizations will join this effort by raising funds to purchase bookshelves to display the books.
